What We Do

The community school offers a variety of programming including drop-in lunch programs, afterschool programs, and community youth sports.  Our programs follow the SD70 calendar. We operate three semesters – Fall, Winter, and Spring.  We have one full time coordinator (Caleb Harding) along with part time employees, instructors, and volunteers.  Program registration is done on this site
Registration takes place within the first two weeks of the return to school with most programs starting in the first month.

The WCSS is situated on the ḥaḥuułi of the Tla-o-qui-aht, and acknowledges that we work alongside all nuučaan̓uł Nations as well as the Métis Nation of British Columbia to serve the children and youth of the Alberni-Clayoquot region.
The WCSS strives to increase awareness, understanding and integration of nuučaan̓uł culture, history, and language in all our programs and servicies. It is part of our ongoing commitment to Truth and Reconciliation.
